Aikido'Ka is a family and community martial arts school. By this, we mean that all ages and skill levels are welcome to train together to learn from and enjoy each other.
Aikido is a Japanese martial art which approaches disputes -- evenviolent disputes -- differently than other martial arts. Using aikido,we try to resolve all disputes without anyone getting hurt.
Aikido is not about fighting. Indeed when you visit Aikido'Ka, youwill hear laughter and see people having fun. Called the Art ofPeace by its founder, O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba, aikido has no competition.
At Aikido'Ka our training helps us defend ourselves and to be physically fit. But our real purpose is to help people develop withthe wisdom and energy to positively benefit society.
Our classes involve students of all ages, though classes earlier in the day tend to have younger practitioners than later classes. Our classes emphasize fun, respect, fitness, self-defense, personal growth and non-violent dispute resolution.

Cynthia Hayashi, 6th Degree Black Belt in Aikido, is one of the highest ranking female Aikidoists in the world. Hayashi Sensei teaches Aikido and self-defense around the world. Aikido'Ka is honored to host a Special Women Only Self-Defense Seminar taught by Hayashi Sensei from 6:30 - 9:30, Friday March 28th, 2008. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to learn from one of the great female martial artists. Be sure to pre-register early: The seminar is limited to 30 participants.
